What happens when I run out of credits?
Last updated
When your balance runs low, you buy a packet of 1,000, 5,000, or 10,000 credits. Bigger packets cost less per credit, and your yearly balance still resets.
If a case runs your balance down, you are not stuck. You buy more credits and keep going. Because your plan already comes with a large yearly balance, this usually only comes up on an unusually heavy year.
How do I buy more credits?
You add credits in packets. There are three sizes:
A 1,000 credit packet
A 5,000 credit packet
A 10,000 credit packet
Bigger packets bring the price per credit down, and the exact rate depends on your plan. The pricing page shows the per-credit rate for each plan and packet size.
You buy packets through the same place you handle the rest of your billing. Open Manage Subscription from the left sidebar to add credits, which takes you to the secure billing portal. See how do I manage my subscription for the full walkthrough.
Does my plan balance still reset?
Yes. Buying a packet is a top-up, not a change to your plan. Your annual plan still starts each renewal with its full 12,000 credits, so a packet you buy this year does not shrink next year's balance. See when does my usage reset.
Note
Processing credits uses real computing power on your behalf, so a credit purchase becomes final once you use more than 1,000 credits. Below that, reach out and we will make it right.
