How do I edit a section of the AI Forensic Analysis report?

You do not have to regenerate a whole report to fix one part of it. Open Daystrom on the project and ask it to change a section of the finished AI Forensic Analysis report. It drafts the change, shows it to you, and waits.

How to ask for an edit

Ask in plain words, naming the section and what you want:

• "Rewrite the Spending Pattern Analysis section to lead with the cash withdrawals."

• "Add a section on transfers to the business account."

• "Remove the Means Test section, it does not apply here."

Daystrom answers with a preview card headed Rewrite section, Add section, or Remove section, plus the section's title.

Nothing changes until you say so

The card is a proposal, not a change. Read it, then decide:

• A rewrite or an addition shows you the proposed section in full, laid out the way it will appear in the report, with tables and charts in place. The current version sits behind a disclosure so you can compare the two before you commit.

• A removal shows you the section it would delete, so you can see exactly what you are losing.

• Expand opens the preview larger if the section is long.

Apply it and the report updates in place, and the card confirms with "Applied. The report has been updated." Leave it alone and nothing happens to the report at all.

A preview does not wait forever. If you come back to an old one it reads "Expired. Ask the assistant to propose the edit again," which is a nudge to have Daystrom redraft it against the report as it stands now rather than as it stood an hour ago.

When should I edit instead of regenerate?

• Edit a section when the analysis is right but one part needs different emphasis, a different order, or should not be there. The rest of the report, and everything you have already read and checked, stays exactly as it was.

• Regenerate the report** when the data underneath changed, for example after you added a missing account or cleared flagged reconciliation cycles, or when you want a different set of sections across the board.

Editing keeps the parts you have already stood behind. Regenerating gives you a clean read of new data. Pick by which one just changed, the writing or the numbers.

Does an edit survive an export?

Yes. Applied edits are part of the report, so a PDF or Word download taken afterward carries them. A file you downloaded before the edit is a snapshot of the older version, so download again if you need the current one.
