Can I see a portfolio's value over time and asset allocation?

Last updated

Yes. The Portfolio tab shows a client's market value over time and an allocation donut by asset class, built from the holdings on each brokerage statement.

Note

**Coming Q4 2026.** Investment and brokerage support is not live yet. This article previews how the Portfolio tab will work once it ships.

The top of the Portfolio tab is built for the two questions attorneys ask first: what is this worth, and what is it in. Both come straight from the holdings on the client's statements.

How do I see a portfolio's value over time?

The Market value card headlines the total, with an unrealized gain or loss chip next to it. When a project has more than one statement period, it draws a trend line so you can see the value rise or fall over time.

With only one statement, there is no trend to draw yet, so instead you get bars comparing Market value to Cost basis for that snapshot. Add a second period and the line appears.

How do I see asset allocation?

The Allocation donut breaks the portfolio down by asset class, like equities, bonds, and cash, with a percent for each. It names the largest few classes and folds the rest into Other, and it calls out the single largest Top position as a concentration signal.

Note

A holding with no asset class on the statement is grouped as Unclassified, so it still counts toward the total instead of disappearing from the breakdown.

Both views are as of the snapshot you pick with the Holdings as of selector, so you can see the mix at the latest statement or an earlier one. To read the individual positions behind these charts, open the Holdings view.
