Archive a project or a whole folder
Move a closed matter off your Projects list and keep everything in it.
When a matter closes, you can move it off your Projects list and keep everything in it. You can now archive a project, or every project in a folder, and bring it back whenever the matter reopens.
How to archive a project or folder
Right-click a project and choose Archive project, or open the menu at the end of its row. On plans with more than one project, you can also select several checkboxes and click Archive. There is nothing to confirm, because nothing is lost: the statements, the transactions, the reconciliation work and every report stay as they were.
For a folder, right-click it and choose Archive folder. Every project in it is archived in one step, and the folder drops off the list until you unarchive one of them.
Where archived projects go
Click Archived projects at the top of the Projects page. It lists every archived project across all your folders, with a Folder column so you can tell where each one lives.
Archiving only changes where a project is listed. An archived project still opens from this list, with an Archived badge in its header. The one thing it sits out of is Combine, which reads only the projects that are not archived.
How to bring a project back
From the Archived projects list, choose Unarchive project on the row. From inside the project, click Unarchive in the header. The project goes back to its folder.
A project cannot be archived while its statements are processing, and a folder cannot be archived while any project in it is. A combined or duplicated copy cannot be archived until the copy finishes.
