Turn a discovery pile into rows

Hand over the production the way discovery handed it to you. Every page is read, every transaction comes back as a row you can sort and total, and every row keeps the statement page it was printed on.

However discovery gave it to you

One PDF, a dozen accounts

A jumbled production is split into individual monthly statements and sorted by account.

Scans, faxes and phone photos

A crooked photo or a tenth-generation fax is read as an image first, then the figures come off the page.

Months out of order

Statements go back into sequence per account, even when a statement prints no date on the page.

The same month twice

A duplicate is flagged the moment it lands, so you compare the two and keep one.

Virtually any U.S. institution

Big banks, regional banks and credit unions. CounselPro builds a reading plan for each statement’s layout, so a format it is seeing for the first time reads as cleanly as one it has read a thousand times.

Investment statements open Q4 2026

Brokerage and retirement statements are built and running for early accounts today, and they open to everyone in Q4 2026. Tax documents follow on the same roadmap.

What one printed line becomes

A statement prints a date, some words and a number. CounselPro turns that into a record you can sort, filter and total, and every row keeps the page the line came from.

Click the page and the statement opens at page 9, exactly as the bank printed it. Every figure on every screen and every export is anchored there.

Did you get every month?

CounselPro sorts the whole pile by account and lays out the months you hold, so a gap in the records shows up now, while there is still time to ask for the month.

  • Statement produced
  • Still to come

Duplicate statements flagged

Load the same month twice and CounselPro says so, so the month counts once.

Internal transfers marked

Money moving between a client's own accounts is tagged as a transfer, so the income and spending totals count money that actually came in and went out.

Evidence

Straight off the page

Every row comes off the page

A figure becomes a row when the statement prints it, and it is read again against the page image until it matches what the bank printed. Where the records are silent, the row comes back to you flagged, with the page beside it.

Checks carry their own direction

Whether a check was money in or money out is taken from the deposit slip or from the drawer's own account. Where the evidence is open either way, it comes back flagged for you to confirm.

The cardholders come back named

A card statement prints the people who hold a card on that account, so the read comes back with who they are and how many there were. A card you are seeing for the first time is a finding on its own.

Where the rows go next

Extraction is the floor everything else stands on. Once the rows exist, three things open up.

Reconciliation

Every cycle balanced against the beginning and ending totals the bank printed on that statement, and a month that comes up short is read again. Part of the Premier plan.

Start with your messiest file

Bring the production that broke the last tool: the fax, the phone photos, the one PDF holding nine accounts. That is the file worth testing this on.
