# How do I accept an invitation?

> Open the invitation link a colleague sent you. Log in or sign up with that same email address, and you land in their account with your team's projects.

Someone at your firm invited you to CounselPro, and you have a link. Accepting takes one step: open the link and sign in.

## How to accept

Open the invitation link. CounselPro shows you a screen that names the firm you have been invited to and asks you to sign in.

- If you already have a CounselPro login, click Log in and use it.
- If you are new to CounselPro, click **Sign up** and create your login with the email the invitation was sent to.

Either way, use the same email address the invitation went to. Once you are signed in, you join the account and your team's projects are right there.

Accept with the exact email the invite was sent to. If you sign in with a different address, CounselPro will not match you to the invitation. See [why does my invitation email not match](https://www.counselpro.ai/docs/invitation-email-mismatch).
